TRIXX Virtual Animation

In
2,5 months, we realized the virtual animation presenting
OPEL
TRIXX's very special features, for the Geneva Motorshow
2004.
Protoscar
was involved
into the project already from a 3D-modeling codesign point of view (realizing
CDRS, Alias and Catia files for stereography and milling), and prepared the storyboard
for the animation in the meantime. A step-by-step approval procedure of the animation
has been realized. Every week a low resolution version of the animation was made
available on a secure FTP site, so that all involved customer-representatives
could send in their personal remarks and modification requests. Finally the animation
was calculated using Maya and the postproduction was made using After Effects.
In Geneva, the animation has been commented by Bob Lutz during the TRIXX presentation in the press conference, and then displayed together with the prototype, in order to explain it's features. Of course, also the press-images, the BETA TV-footage and the WEB-compatible version of the animation have been realized in the meantime.

Rinspeed sets new world record - Across the English Channel and it is now registered in the Guinness Book of Records.
